What Does this blood Test Result Mean?

I recently had routine blood work. Everything was normal except for the vitamin D which was extremely low at 12.3 and the platelet count which was elevated at 390 (lab normal 379). My doctor is not concerned. I have been prescribed high dose D replacement. Are the two connected? I have no medical complaints/conditions except some osteoarthritis (age 65). I live in the northeast and avoid unprotected sun due to a previous basal cell cancer and a rigid dermatologist.

Hello,
Dear thankyou for asking here.
Dear there is no connection in increased platelate count or vit D deficiency. And for confirmation I would suggest to get platelate test done again and discuss further if significant quantity is raised.
Regards
